NIQ is a leading provider of innovative technology solutions. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our clients. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Oracle Database Support Specialist to join our dynamic team.


Responsibilities


  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database systems.
  • Monitor database performance and perform regular system checks to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Support database security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with senior database administrators and other IT staff to optimize database performance.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  •   Following with Oracle support for day-to-day major errors to imply permanent fixes and for availability of bug fix and patching.
  •   Database activities such as creation of schema, roles, providing grants, managing tablespaces & indexes and object validations.
  •  Scheduling scripts and procedures through oracle jobs and crontab.
  •  Proactively detect problems related to service or infrastructure operations and conduct diagnostics.
  •  Generating AWR, ADDM reports for analyzing performance related issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Oracle database architecture and administration.
  • Familiarity with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
