If you have a passion to maximize value to the Lubricants business by being the voice of the Lubricants Supply Chain into the customer and the customer into the supply chain, then there is a great opportunity for you in the Global Key Account (GKA) & New Business Development (NBD) Global Supply Development (GSD) team!


What’s the role


Your role is accountable for ensuring the feasibility and costing review of commercially viable supply chains to serve Global Key Account (GKA) customers, with the mission of maximizing value safely for the Lubricants business.  The team has several Deal Managers globally, who look after a given region, and one Supply Optimizer / Deal Manager role that has the opportunity to look after both feasibility & costing of our supply chains, and also the performance & optimization of them as well.  The Deal Manager scope of this role will support the Asia region and will flex as needed between the two scopes given volume of customer performance issues and tenders.


This role is a hybrid role to support 2 purposes within the team, split:


Global Key Account (GKA) Supply Optimizer scope is aimed at ensuring we deliver robustly on our promise to our key customers by applying a solution-based approach to GKA operational issues throughout the regions. Global Supply Development (GSD) Deal Manager scope is aimed at ensuring the development and feasibility/costing review of commercially viable supply chains to serve GKA customers, with the mission of maximizing value safely for the Lubricants business.


What you’ll be doing


  • Build a robust supply chain performance management process for GKAs, which includes scorecards, dashboards and escalation mechanisms that will enable driving accountability for resolution of weak performance.
  • Support the GKA GMs, GAMs and GKA Supply Development Managers to monitor supply chain performance of GKAs in EMEA by using user friendly dashboards
  • Work on digitalization of performance management tools to increase efficiency.
  • Be the key enabler for preparation and escalation of performance cases and support in building permanent solutions with regional supply chain teams.
  • The role also aims to support implementation of the GKA deals throughout the LSC regional organization. The role is tasked with providing a PMO based approach to major tender implementations, proactively planning roll-outs and pre-aligning with the regional LSC organization to ensure a smooth and cost-effective deal implementation.
  • The role acts as an escalation point for capacity, logistics and resourcing issues with a view to delivering an improvement to the interface with Global Account Sales and Marketing organization resulting in the most competitive delivery to Global Accounts Customers.
  • Custodian of the end-to-end Deal Sheet process, which encompasses:
    • Coordination of supply chain feasibility assessment of tenders for GKA customers (spanning within a single region, or across more than 1 region)
    • Lead costing assessment for GKA tenders and GKA portfolio enhancements
  • Support GKA GSD Managers in resolution of operational issues and ensure OTIF performance and Customer Satisfaction
  • Support GKA GSD managers in flawless execution & implementation of new business wins
  • Drive maximization of end-to-end margin by:
  • Supporting GKA GSD Managers on Ultimate Potential/Fit4 optimization initiative, offer improvements and cost optimization activities during tender assessment
  • Act as the focal point for Lubricants Product Costing (LPC) simulation and LPC queries
  • Working with GKA GSD Managers on developing improved ways of working and optimized supply options for GKAs
  • Responsible for using existing and future Ultimate Potential/Fit4 toolsets to identify value opportunities
  • Coordination of data input for GKAs KPI reporting and analysis, compliance reviews, key metrics on GKA performance
  • Leading by example, drive world class customer focus and help sharpen the commercial edge of LSC by bringing the voice of the customer into LSC discussions.
  • This role will also drive value by generating and pursuing Ultimate Potential/Fit4 improvements and cost optimization activities in conjunction with the team's GSD Managers.

What you bring


  • Proven Lubricants Supply Chain experience
  • Experience in S&OP, Planning, Logistics, PLM and/or Project Management is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical skills, strong problem-solving mindset and positive attitude.
  • Strong team working/collaboration capabilities
  • Commerciality: LSC is building a highly professional, commercially focused organization. Strong commercial skills and experience are critical to achieve our aims.
  • Experience with integrated SAP/ERP systems and LSC tools
  • Experience of virtual working in a multinational environment
  • Good understanding of the E2E Value Chain
