Job Description

This position is focused on Labcorp’s supply chain environmental sustainability, including creating and executing Labcorp’s Supplier Environmental Sustainability Engagement Strategy and Science Based Target (SBT) Scope 3 Attainment Plan, assuring alignment and collaboration with cross functional partners.  In addition, the role will support emission data collection and analysis.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Develop and drive strategies and initiatives that reduce the environmental impact associated with the goods and service provided by supplier and vendors on our behalf, which includes:


  • Identifying, mapping assessing, and prioritizing Scope 3 contributors
  • Creating, sending, reviewing, and organizing Supplier Questionnaires
  • Tracking and organizing the data received
  • Scale the impact of supplies and internal initiatives to accelerate value chain GHG emission reduction
  • Creating and sharing the Supplier maturity level with Environmental Sustainability.
  • Organizing training for supply chain management stakeholders
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to develop a multi-year achievement plan.
  • Engage and coordinate with key stakeholders to address questions or requests, providing periodic updates on relevant issues and topics.


  • Collaborate with appropriate departments to develop and carry out initiatives identified in the Scope 3 attainment plan.


  • Organize, evaluate and report on environmental sustainability information and data.


  • Effectively communicate program progress internally.

Minimum Years of Experience Required: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Sustainability


Familiarity with Scope 3 categories


Description of Minimum Experience Required:  


Demonstrated experience in engaging, collaborating and influencing individuals and organizations to adopt key principles


Working knowledge of Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas air emissions desired.


Preferred Years of Experience Required: 5


Description of Preferred Experience Required: 2 years of demonstrated experience with Scope 3 related program management.

Strong data management, communication, and presentation skills


Ability to engage and influence of key stakeholders.


Ability to synthesize and translate complex information into clear, informative, and compelling materials (e.g., summaries, fact sheets, presentations, online dashboards, and reports) for diverse audiences.


Ability to create and deliver training programs.


Problem Solving:


Ability to collaborate with peers and leaders to assess pending requirements and/or client or supplier requests, identify risks and impact, and develop proposals to address stakeholder needs effectively.


Decision Making:


Ability to assess opportunities and make decisions relative to Scope 3 data that enable Labcorp to achieve near and long-term goals .


Interpersonal Skills:


Effective in all forms of communication, inclusive, and open to providing and receiving feedback. Available to work across multiple time zones and countries and effectively communicate with individuals where English is not their native language.
