The Supplier Quality Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for Qualification of suppliers, conducting audits, develop quality plans, monitor performance, problem resolution, documentation, and reporting, conducting FAIs, DFMEA, PPAP verification, collaborate with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align supplier quality with overall business objectives.


Provide technical support to suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve product design and manufacturing processes. Verify that suppliers comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.


This position is part of the QARA team located in Bangalore and will be placing on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


  • Evaluate new and existing suppliers based on their capabilities, quality systems, and performance history. Perform on-site supplier audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • Approve suppliers through a qualification process that includes testing and validating their products.
  • Continuously monitor supplier performance using metrics like defect rates, delivery times, and audit scores. Investigate quality issues and defects, performing root cause analysis to determine underlying problems.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) with suppliers to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Incorporate customer feedback into supplier quality programs to ensure products meet end-user expectations.

The essential requirements of the job include:


  • 8 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing and fabrication industries.
  • Solidworks/Creo proficiency.
  • Hands on experience in manufacturing and GD&T.
  • Knowledge on ASME and ISO standards.
  • Experience in supplier handling and supplier audits.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • Experience in pharma industry.
  • Lead QMS auditor.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
