About the role
We are looking for self-driven Supplier quality professional for our Gas & Service business unit, we need smart quality professional who brings skills, highest standards of product, services and process quality and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives to bring value in project execution.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
- Preparation and review of the manufacturing Quality control plan (MQCP), Welding and NDE matrix for large steam turbine machined components as per the code, standards, and project specifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of traditional & CNC machining processes of large castings, forgings & blades for large steam turbine & generator components for 210 -800 MW.
- To perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) in supply base for large, machined components & assemblies to applicable drawings and technical standards and provide technical support to suppliers to succeed in meeting quality requirements for critical machined parts which include on machine & off machine dimension check, run-out check, blue matching inspection, CMM check, NDT check and final inspection.
- Hands-on experience for inspecting of critical machining components & fabricated parts which include steam turbine rotors, steam turbine inner and outer casing, valve casing, turbine blades, steam glands, bearings, Control valve parts, fabricated inner casing and bearing pedestals etc.
- Hands-on MPI and DPT testing experience for inspection witness of large steam turbine machined components at supplier premises, including in-process and final NDT inspection of critical machined components.
- Exposure to digital scanning tools, their use including CMM & Faro-Arm for inspection of turbines stationery and rotatory blades.
- Must have Auto-cad knowledge to design the templates for inspection of machining components.
- Familiarity with repair methods for major components a plus.
- To ensure planning, coordination and Inspection as per the customer’s quality inspection plan and create & maintain quality dossier accordingly.
- Main interface to supplier on technical and quality aspects. Collaborates with engineering to refine product and process designs to improve quality and decrease Non-conformance costs. Also, interface with procurement & project management on supplier quality topics.
- Conduct root cause analysis, investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, customer specifications and industry quality standards.

- Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
- 10 + years of experience in Quality assurance and quality control, preferably in Oil and Gas Industry & power sector domain.
- Must be Certified ASNT NDT Level II in MPI and DPT.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or direction.
- Ability to interface directly with supplier, Purchase, engineering and workshop teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis
- Ability to manage multiple manufacturing issues / projects and deadlines.
- Required to travel frequently for inspection at supplier works.
