Position Summary:

Customer domain under EIM is responsible for the E2E master data management, quality and integration of Philips’ Customer data. As part of our team, you will be working with stakeholders from 100+ countries where Philips operates in, contributing to improve data quality, governance and support.


Our Group Function Enterprise Information Management (EIM) is the central capability in data management, (management) reporting, analytics and business insights. In EIM we bring all unstructured and structured company information (customer, vendor, product, finance, people, consumer) under central guidance and provide a wide array of information management services.


Position Description:


  • Act as the owner for Philips’ Customer Database, validating data that enters the system, integration of the database with other systems and maintaining DQ metrics
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of customer master data to ensure it meets organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • FIORI, SDFC and MDM consistency across all targeted systems
  • Analyse customer data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and generate reports to provide insights into customer data quality and metrics. Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance data management practices.
  • Lead or participate in projects aimed at optimizing customer data processes and systems
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of customer data across various systems (CRM, ERP, etc.).
  • Provide support for system enhancements and troubleshooting related to customer master data.
  • Act as the 2nd line of support for businesses, working with frontline partners, handling escalations and roadblocks faced by them
  • Drive Philips’ Continuous Improvement culture by leading LEAN, Kaizen, Six Sigma initiatives individually and in a team setting
  • Perform and take part in the various regulatory and compliance audit requirements of the domain
  • Perform root cause analysis on errors leading to poor data quality. Takes ownership of such errors and co-ordinate with various teams to fix them
  • Proactively identify data flow issues between multiple systems and take ownership to fix them and correct any errors caused retrospectively
  • Responsible for validating test strategy and plan, test cases, automation and UAT activities
  • Promptly escalate issues affecting delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence
  • Ensure Philips’ Data Privacy standards and other guidelines are adhered to

Position Requirements:


  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Has worked extensively in MDM/Data warehousing environments as a Data Specialist, SME, Functional or Technical expert
  • Having a thorough understanding of Supply chain, SAP vendor management processes is an advantage
  • Knowledge of integration of aspects with other platforms and a thorough understanding of system architectures and data landscapes
  • Having knowledge of SAP and Informatica MDM systems is an advantage
  • Understanding of Qlikview/Tableau platforms is an advantage
  • Should have an eye for detail and maintain rigorous documentation of processes
  • Should be a self-motivated individual, with a go-getter attitude
  • Should be able to work in a team environment and comfortable working with stakeholders from different countries and diverse cultures
