The Physical Design & Integration (PDI) team is responsible for Mechanical System Installation (MSI) & Electrical System Installation (ESI), Architecture & Integration and Cabin Design activities. Within the PDI framework, the Stress team is an integral part of PDI having the global view on aircraft system installation design and justifications. We are looking for a multi skilled Static Stress Engineer, to join the expanding team (Systems Installation Engineering – Specific Stress of Mechanical & Electrical Systems installation).


Qualification & Experience:


● Bachelor/Master Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with proven knowledge of structure and/or aircraft System and stress analysis. Technical Skills:


● Experience in Static stress experience & materials stress (FEM, etc.)


● Advanced knowledge of fundamental stress principles and methods including hand calculations and linear FEA, ability to select appropriate methods, identify critical failure modes and appropriate design precautions for metallic or composite structures.


● Good level of knowledge of Airbus Calculation methods & tools


● An experience in system installation is a plus (design investigation, design principles, integration rules [SIDP, TDD, SIRD..], exchange with architects etc...).


● Open to new digital technologies with an understanding of the benefits of the digital solutions


This job requires an advanced level of Finite Element Analysis to validate or refine FEM for linear analysis.

Responsibilities:


● The activity consists in investigating and analysing new design solutions in order to improve the product focusing on recurring cost and weight saving, robustness and modifications aiming at increasing A/C performance.


● The objective of this activity is to investigate and implement different innovative technologies and participate in predevelopment activities.


● Managing different activities of system installation work packages and providing support to the others WP/group leaders if needed.


● Coordinating the stress activities of sub-contractors (follow-up of plan, methods, policies) Supporting and approving metallic or composite stress deliverables (drawings, stress dossiers, interface loads reports, test and certification reports etc.)


● Performing stress analysis to support drawing release and of producing certification stress dossiers.


● Ensuring analytical sizing of metallic parts Monitoring and supporting Design and Build Supplier for systems installations (providing inputs, including regulation requirements, choice of stress methods, check and approval of different deliveries).


● Checking structural analysis reports and Validating justification reports from subcontractors


● Performing preliminary structural analysis of parts.


● Preparing stress sheets and stress reports for structural components
