Role Description
- This role is within the DWS Global Technology - Application Portfolio Management team.
- Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide application support for the DWS KYC application.
- Development and maintenance of standard project artifacts to comply with development protocols.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and provide recommendations to mitigate risk and preventive actions
- Implement small functionality for a given problem statement.
- Debug/troubleshoot any given issues/defects
- Build reliability and resiliency into solutions with appropriate testing and reviewing throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Ensure maintainability and reusability of engineering solutions
- Ensure solutions are well architected and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
Your skills and experience
Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in developing maintainable applications.
Asset Management Domain Knowledge
- Knowledge of financial markets good to have.
Technical / Mandatory Skills
- Strong Working experience of ETL tools like Pentaho / Informatica / Stream Sets
- Developing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized repository
- Strong Working experience of programming in Java / Python / .Net
- Working experience in Big Data technologies. Designing and implementing robust data warehouse architectures that support business requirements
- Monitoring data warehouse systems to ensure reliability and performance standards are met
- Good Programming understanding with strong OOPs/Data Structure/Bigdata.
- Good understanding about Querying languages viz Hive, Oracle, MS SQL Server etc.
Other Skills
- Strong Problem Solving Skills.
- Good in communication, collaboration.
- Exposure to at least 1-2 projects on Data Engineering.
- Good Hands-on experience on using ETL tools like Pentaho/Informatica/Stream sets
- Good to have cloud exposure like Cloud SQL on GCP.
- Hands-on experience on object storage and scheduling tools.
- Willing to learn new technology and adapt quickly.
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance
