ABOUT THE ROLE


Role Description:

The Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing will lead high-impact procurement initiatives, drive cost optimization strategies, and enhance supplier performance across multiple categories. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver business value. The ideal candidate will have experience in data-driven decision-making, supplier negotiations, and risk management, along with a proven ability to work with global teams and stakeholders.


Roles & Responsibilities:


Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership


  • Develop and implement global strategic sourcing strategies to drive cost savings, efficiency, and supplier value creation.
  • Lead high-value negotiations and contract management to optimize supplier terms, risk mitigation, and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage procurement processes across multiple categories, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements.
  • Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives, leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices.

Data Analytics & Insights


  • Analyze large and complex procurement datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools to generate insights, create executive-level reports, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Implement data-driven performance metrics to enhance sourcing efficiency and supplier management.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management


  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance quality, reliability, and innovation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and business units, to align sourcing strategies with company objectives.
  • Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless procurement execution and value delivery.

Risk Management & Compliance


  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals.
  • Drive supplier diversity, ESG initiatives, and responsible sourcing practices.

Team Development & Leadership


  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and drive automation opportunities to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in global strategic sourcing.

Functional Skills:


Must-Have Skills:


  • Significant Strategic Sourcing Experience across a broad range of categories
  • Strong experience in Project Management
  • Independently develops practical solutions (Planning, prioritizing and delivery), with experience in leading project teams across geographic and functional reporting lines
  • Stellar Supplier Negotiation skills  
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills 
  • Experience with Global Procurement e-Sourcing and CLM Tools (e.g. Workday Strategic Sourcing, Sirion Labs)
  • Cross-functional team management skills
  • People Management
  • Experience across multiple indirect and direct categories

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
  • Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
