Job Description: Storage Lead
We are looking for an experienced Storage Lead to manage and oversee our storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of storage technologies and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our data storage systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and management of storage solutions across the organization.
Monitor and optimize storage performance, capacity, and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with other IT systems.
Develop and enforce storage policies, procedures, and best practices.
Manage backup and disaster recovery processes for critical data.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging storage technologies.
Provide training and support to junior team members on storage technologies.
Technical Skills
Storage Solutions Management:
Expertise in managing SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and DAS (Direct Attached Storage) systems.
Knowledge of different storage protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, CIFS/SMB).
Experience with storage virtualization technologies.
Data Management:
Proficient in data replication, backup, and recovery solutions.
Knowledge of data deduplication, compression, and archiving techniques.
Understanding of data lifecycle management and tiered storage.
Storage Hardware and Software:
Experience with storage arrays from vendors like Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM, and Hitachi.
Familiarity with storage management software and tools (e.g., EMC Unisphere, NetApp OnCommand, HPE 3PAR).
Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting:
Ability to monitor and optimize storage performance.
Proficient in troubleshooting storage-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Analytical Skills
Capacity Planning:
Ability to forecast and plan for future storage needs based on business requirements.
Understanding of storage growth trends and capacity management techniques.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Overall experience of 8+ years in relevant field.
Proven experience as a Storage Lead or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of storage architectures, protocols, and technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, DAS).
Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
