We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Storage Principal Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in storage systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing storage solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of storage solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Oversee the implementation and management of storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify storage requirements and develop strategies to meet business needs.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of existing storage environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in storage, and integrate them into our infrastructure as appropriate.
- Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning for storage solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data storage and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in storage engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies, protocols, and architectures (e.g., Fiber Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB).
- Experience with enterprise storage solutions from leading vendors (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM).
- Proficiency in storage management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in relevant storage technologies (e.g., SNIA, VMware).
- Experience with cloud storage solutions and hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions.
