- L2 / Storage Technology Lead will be part of HPE’s Managed Services
- Management Services Storage & Backup team working on new build, transition and setting up the account for regular business as usual operations. Providing leadership and mentorship for L2 engineers in critical and complex technical issues related to HPE Storage, IBM Storage, DellEMC Storage, NetApp storage, Backup software and SAN environment.
- The position involves taking a leadership role with customer teams and internal stakeholders to resolve complex problems spanning across multiple technology landscapes and to collaborate other technology leads. Flexible to work in 24X7 support environment.
- Proactive management of Capacity Performance and Availability of Storage environment using latest Tools, Integrations and Processes, minimizing impact on Customer environment.
- The job also involves leading communication between other technical teams, customer and internal organization to fulfil customer needs and accomplish customer satisfaction.
- Aspiring professional should be familiar with simple to complex Administration and Operational tasks/activities on Enterprise Storage products and solutions.
- To proactively identify systematic issues in Customer’s Storage and SAN environment, recommend appropriate changes to Customer and Account Teams so as to improve efficiency, performance, availability of Storage environment.
- To take a lead position to optimize given Storage environment and advise internal and external stakeholders on operations that will improve overall stability and availability of Storage environment.
- Possessing capability to create Runbooks for key activities like patching, firmware and Storage OS updates and upgrades.
- Supporting and troubleshooting Storage and SAN issues in widely distributed environment.
- Plan and implement best practices for Storage and SAN solutions.
- Proactive measures to ensure adequate storage (DellEMC , IBM, NetApp, Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, MSA or any HPE storage in scope) capacity is available.
- Guide & Lead SOPs creation and review documentation for various Administration activities on Storage and SAN and ensure they are up to date.
- Create and update documentation on All Multivendor storage solution, Remote Copy groups, backup groups, Host mapping etc.
- Perform configuration changes as per design and build.
- Experience on concepts of Performance, Availability and Capacity management of Storage infrastructure.
- Hands on experience on Administration of EMC VNX/VNxe EMC DD, NetApp FAS, Cisco MDS/UCS – LUN creation, extension, Virtual Copy, Snapshot, Replication, alerting and monitoring, Capacity Management, Reporting, complex troubleshooting etc.
- Professional degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years related IT experience.
- Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills on Tape Libraries, Library Management software, SAN connectivity, backup software etc., including log analysis.
- Familiar with SNMP & SMTP protocols
- General knowledge of networking concepts and iSCSI protocol.
- Deep knowledge & understanding of Storage arrays, Storage concepts, virtualization.
- Preferable: Hands on experience in Operations and Support on IBM/EMC/NetApp , Storage arrays.

Must Have:
- IBM Storage, DellEMC Storage, NetApp storage, (any two)
- Firmware and management experience on above Storage
- SAN fundamentals, Switch Zoning etc.
- Operating system (any one of Windows, Linux, HPUX)
- Complex troubleshooting experience and Logical Problem solving approach
- Ability to work in a Solution environment, collaborating across Technology Teams.
Preferable:
- Certification on any of the IBM/DELL-EMC/NetApp storage
- Virtualization concepts
- Knowledge of Remote Support and Remote monitoring processes and concepts
- Tools Knowledge on ServiceNow
- ITIL Certified.
Technical Skills:
- S/he will demonstrate an in depth understanding of several products in more than one functional area involving usage, configuration, and interaction with other products.
- S/he must possess a balance of very well-developed troubleshooting, technical communication, and written skills along with extensive product knowledge and skills.
- Candidate should have excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written.
