Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:
We are looking for candidates who want to turn ideas into reality. As a QA and automation engineer of IBM Spectrum Scale Erasure Code Edition (ECE) you will work on the core raid logic (GNR) of ECE, especially for the container platforms as OpenShift and general Kubernetes
What you’ll do:
Work on market leading gpfs high performance clustered file system
Test and develop automation code for ECE component/features for spectrum scale core
Ensuring end to end quality delivery of the component/feature for Spectrum Scale.
Work closely with customers for requirement validation as well as responding to customer issues.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Storage Background
• Experience with Test Automation frameworks
• System level testing with Linux or AIX environments (5 years preferred)
• “”Clustered File systems”” & file level replication QA experience (2 years preferred)
• Perl/python experience – 2 years minimum (5 years preferred)
• Jenkins or similar – 1 year
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Linux kernel debugging experience – 2 years minimum (5 years preferred)
• Container, Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift experience is nice to have
• Virtualization knowledge – VMWare or KVM
• Familiarity with Git, RTC.
