Storage Backup Administrator (Avamar with NetBackup) - 7 to 12Yrs – Bangalore/Pune

About Team:
Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support to the data protection environment hosted in FIS data centers located in US, EMEA and APAC. Team works on enterprise level backup technologies including ticket management through Service Now Tool.
What you will be doing:
Managing the Avamar / NetBackup environments hosted in global data centers of FIS
Managing backup and restore jobs
Working on Hardware Refresh and Appliance upgrade
Participating in disaster recovery test
Handling escalation
Working on Ticket management (Incident / Change / Problem Tickets)
Performance tuning the environment
Execution of service pack upgrade on timely manner
Creation of technical documentation
Working with leadership on various weekly / monthly reports
Coordinating with on-site teams
Exploring automation ideas to reduce manual interventions in day-to-day jobs.
Shift: 24x7 Operation Team (Rotational)
What You Bring:
Excellent technical skill on Avamar version 19.9 and above / NetBackup version 10.1 and above
7-10yrs experience in NetBackup and Avamar backup tool
CommVault / Veeam knowledge preferable
Working knowledge on SNOW ticket tool
OS Knowledge: Windows / Linux
Have fair knowledge on SQL database backup and restore
Effective fluent communication
Working as on one team skillset
Advance knowledge on backup methodology
Basic storage knowledge
System knowledge includes Wintel, Linux etc.
Understanding of VMware
Good problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
Should have basic storage devices knowledge
Should be aware of different types of Operating System and its features
Experience in handling Service Now Ticket Tool or something similar
