Department OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Storage Administrator + Cloud Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and ensuring the efficiency of storage solutions in both on-premises and cloud environments. This role involves overseeing the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of storage infrastructure, as well as managing cloud-based storage and resources to meet the organizational needs for data accessibility, security, and redundancy.
Job Description

**Key Responsibilities**:


  • Design, deploy, and manage storage area networks (SAN) and network-attached storage (NAS) systems.


  • Monitor and optimize storage performance and troubleshoot any storage-related issues.


  • Implement data backup, recovery, and archiving procedures.


  • Configure and manage cloud storage solutions across various platforms (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage).


  • Integrate on-premises storage with cloud storage services to create hybrid storage environments.


  • Ensure data redundancy, replication, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and effective.


  • Collaborate with IT security team to enforce data governance and compliance standards.


  • Provision and manage cloud resources, including compute, networking, and databases.


  • Automate cloud and storage operations using scripting or infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.


  • Document all storage and cloud architecture changes and maintain operational procedures.


  • Stay current with emerging storage technologies and cloud services, recommending upgrades and improvements.



Basic Requirements

Experience - 5 - 7 years of relevant experience


**Required Skills and Qualifications**:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.


  • Proven experience in managing enterprise storage solutions from vendors like Dell EMC, NetApp, HP, or similar.


  • Solid understanding of cloud computing and experience with one or more leading cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).


  • Knowledge of storage protocols such as iSCSI, NFS, and Fibre Channel.


  • Familiarity with storage virtualization and data management technologies.


  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery processes and solutions.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.


**Preferred Skills**:


  • Certifications related to storage (e.g., Dell EMC Proven Professional, NetApp Certified Data Administrator) and cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate).


  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.


  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.


  • Understanding of data lifecycle management and data tiering strategies.


  • Experience with data encryption and security best practices for both on-premises and cloud storage.


**Work Environment**:


This position may require occasional on-call duty and after-hours support to address critical issues. The role may also involve coordinating with multiple teams and participating in cross-functional projects.
