Job Description

Team & Role  


The Platform organization includes teams working on the foundational technologies that underpin our product and all the other application products ServiceNow builds. Our Teams are using leading-edge technologies including AI and LLMs to create incredible new experiences while also maintaining and enhancing an unparalleled level of software and automations supporting our worldwide data centers and cloud operations.  In this role, you will work with engineering teams and consultants who are working with early adopter customers to accelerate ServiceNow solutions and realize value by quickly improving the solution within real customer environments. These teams will help to boost adoption and drive future product innovation. What you get to do in this role: 


  • Work side-by side with Engineering, Product, and Quality Engineering teams on high-visibility, mission-critical programs, and drive them from original concept through final implementation. 


  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy to ensure teams, executing against delivery plans, release high-quality databases and related tooling/automations.  


  • Provide a proactive, strategic perspective on improvements to the business, SDLC, or internal tooling – including hands-on coaching of individual scrum teams.  


  • Help manage risks and dependencies and escalate impediments to meet program objectives. 


  • Provide transparent and forthright communications with all areas affected by your programs; simplify complex issues into a crisp, actionable status to a variety of audiences. 


  • Actively share knowledge and expertise with others to ensure diversity and inclusion with the goal of elevating colleagues, teams, and community of practice. 



Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: 


  • 10+ years of project/program management experience in mid/large size companies, ideally supporting database teams who operate in a highly automated environment.  


  • PMI-ACP, Agile, or scaled agile certifications (SAFe SPC or RTE) and experience leading and coaching teams and release trains in scaled agile principles and practices. 


  • Track record of successfully coaching teams to establish/mature SDLC processes to improve delivery. 


  • Experience utilizing ServiceNow products to keep projects organized, track metrics, and report on progress. 


Basic Qualifications 


  • BA/BS degree or higher in Business Management, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Operations and Information Management (OIM) or other equivalent combination of education and experience. 


  • Able to build solid, trusting relationships with executives, development teams, product management, stakeholders, cross-functional development groups, and peers. 


  • Ability to manage complex engineering programs – cross-team dependencies, risks, organize and communicate key dates to relevant team members. 


  • Exceptional team building and team management skills, including interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and negotiation, consensus building, negotiation, and persuasion skills 


  • History of successfully managing large projects or programs with cross-functional teams. 


  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Agile lifecycle management tools, online whiteboard and collaboration platforms, and similar applications.
