We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Network Services team in India, reporting to the director of Product Management for our market-leading NIOS Enterprise DDI solution. In this role, you will define the roadmap and ensure the successful delivery of virtual and physical appliances that host NIOS and BloxOne DDI software. You will conduct market research; interact with customers, Sales, and partners; prioritize and define requirements for Engineering and Manufacturing, and work with cross-functional teams to bring products to market. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly-experienced, collaborative team to make a significant impact on the DDI market, and there is plenty of opportunity for managerial and technical growth.

What you’ll do:


  • Define and drive performance and security requirements across both physical and virtual appliance models—virtual appliance models support both private cloud (VMware, OpenStack, Nutanix, etc.), as well as public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) platforms
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing, driving decisions on feature/cost trade-off, ROI, and impact on customer experience
  • Manage the submissions of the latest virtual appliance versions to public marketplaces, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI
  • Specify requirements for current and future appliances by conducting research supported by an ongoing, intimate knowledge of existing customers, partners, and competitors
  • Manage long-range planning and inventory of physical assets to ensure quick delivery while managing costs
  • Work closely with cloud product managers to ensure virtual appliances meet performance, security, and public cloud marketplace requirements
  • Collaborate with product and technical marketing functions in the development of physical and virtual appliance data sheets, presentations, product positioning statements, sales training, competitive analysis, and FAQs
  • Manage the planning and communication of the appliance model life cycle
  • Develop business cases for new concepts, including opportunity size, financial impact, market share, cost of sales, and profitability expectations
  • Lead beta and customer evaluation programs 

What you’ll bring:


  • 12 years of overall experience in a network services field
  • 5 years of experience in the field of networking appliance supply or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with defining virtual appliance images, such as VMware, KVM, AWS, and Azure
  • Familiarity with network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and SCP
  • Familiarity with program management responsibilities
  • Product management and/or product marketing experience a plus
  • Ability to identify and articulate customer problems and translate those into product strategy and requirements
  • Ability to lead internal cross-functional teams to successfully deliver features
  • Demonstrated success in managing relationships with partners, customers, and sales teams, particularly in difficult or challenging situations
  • BS/MS in CS, EE, or another technical field, MBA

What success looks like:


After six months, you will…


  • Own the NIOS physical and virtual appliance roadmap, collateral, and documentation
  • Spearhead the go-to-market collateral for the newest generation of Infoblox appliances
  • Influence the roadmap for all physical and virtual appliances across all product lines

After about a year, you will…


  • Define appliance requirements for BloxOne DDI, the Infoblox SaaS managed Enterprise DDI solution
  • Lead NIOS components through idea-to-offer gates to gain cross-functional commitments
