Job description
Roles and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, combining good communication skills with strong analytical problem-solving skills, to support clients in achieving their goals with existing and new applications. Additionally, the candidate will • Support existing applications through communication with service managers, solving production issues across a broad range of technologies and servers. • Be responsible for implementing and maintaining the required security polices for the applications managed by the database applications team. • Actively participate in team problem solving discussions, to assist the team with any current technical problems. • Document and deploy changes to applications on production servers, ensuring all required authorisations and documentation have been completed prior to change. • Strong Experience delivering cloud-native Services and Applications • Strong experience working in a Continuous Delivery cycle • Working in a microservices architecture • Implemented and used a variety of automated testing approaches and techniques Technical Skills: • We expect you to have considerable experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building mission-critical, high-volume transaction microservices / web-based software systems, preferably in regulated environments (finance and insurance industries). • Good understanding of C# and .NET framework, ideally with .NET Core 6 or 8 exposure • You will have extensive knowledge of the following technologies and software engineering best practices: o Architecture Design o Microservice Architecture o Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) o SOLID Principles o Software Design Patterns like Adapter, Decorator, Facade and Factory patterns. o Test-Driven Development (xUnit.Net) o Open API / Swagger o Source Code Management tools (Git, Bitbucket) o RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Web API (.NET Core) o .Net Core containerisation
