Job Description
REQUIREMENTS:
- Total experience 7+ years
- Strong proficiency in administration and support activities of both on-premises and cloud variants of Jira, Confluence, and JSM.
- Extensive hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and managing Atlassian DC or Cloud.
- Experience with automation and scripting to streamline workflows in Jira and JSM.
- Proficiency in configuring workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and other Jira components.
- Hands-on experience with the installation and upgrade of Atlassian applications and associated plugins (e.g., ScriptRunner, Xray, Zephyr).
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python or Groovy.
- Experience in migrating and consolidating projects and spaces between Atlassian instances.
- Strong expertise in creating JIRA dashboards, queries, and reports.
- Ability to write JQL (Jira Query Language) for advanced searches and reporting.
- Understanding of Agile and Kanban methodologies.
- Ability to provide user management support and training to end users.
- Readiness to work in UK hours.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across teams and support end users effectively.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analysing the client鈥檚 needs in the context of the project
- Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements, and being able to define technologies, patterns and frameworks to realize it
- Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets
- Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
- Being able to lead/support UAT and production roll outs
- Creating, understanding and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task, and being able to justify it
- Addressing issues promptly, responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement
- Giving constructive feedback to the team members and setting clear expectations.
- Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving of complex bugs
- Coming up with solutions to any issue that is raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken
- Carrying out POCs to make sure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor鈥檚 or master鈥檚 degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
