About the Role
A Senior UX Designer I leads the design strategy for a business or product line. This role requires an expert user of design tools and someone who can informally mentor other designers.
Responsibilities
Customer (or User) Focus
Understand customer use cases.
Rally the cross-functional team around customer needs.
Advocate for customers within the agile team to inspire deeper understanding.
Create processes to discover customer needs and product design options.
Align and coach the team to ensure customer needs are met.
Creative Problem Solving
Involve customers in product innovation that delivers value and growth.
Challenge the status quo with confidence.
Demonstrate energy and vision to see through innovative ideas.
Recognize and build on the ideas of others.
Product Design
Mastery of user-centered design process.
Attention to detail in interaction design skills.
Work with UX Researchers to understand user needs.
Apply Human Factors Engineering and other User-Centered Design methodologies.
Manage the UCD deliverables for the project.
Assist in developing strategy for customer-facing products/applications.
Data Driven Analysis & Testing
Identify gaps needing data and work with the business to address them.
Summarize data from analytics packages, customer insights, or other sources for research context.
Use data to establish key metrics for projects.
Regularly test design work with users in partnership with the UX Research team.
Iterate research methods based on testing and data analysis.
Use data to inform future testing strategies.
Technical Skills
Excellent knowledge of the organization's tech stack.
Expert use of design software (e.g., Axure, Sketch, Invision).
Mentor junior designers in technical skills.
Build good working relationships with tech teams.
Produce designs across all platforms.

Requirements
Experience and Education
Minimum Years of Experience: 6-8 years (suggested).
Relevant industrial experience or a degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields.
