Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of 4 to 8 Engineers for Wet Seal Support System Post Order Engineering.
  • Accountable for overall Engineering KPI ‘s and focus on OTD and Quality metrices.
  • Training & developing of empowered engineering team.
  • Working directly with all internal stakeholders and align with them on Engineering Service Level to meet their expectation.
  • I- Project – job management tool for Gas seal system engineering as a global tool, Support for migration from I Project to any alternative
  • Engineering project / job management software as directed by Engineering Solutions management. · Job Planning in DOSE, Distribution of the work among the team member and drive quality output well within the promise date
  • Provide promise date to stakeholders based accurate estimation of man hours, resource planning and priority of the project.
  • Accountable for on time submission of Engineering deliverables, technical clarifications, Comments and Deviations, value added
  • Engineering solutions, technical clarification during customer approval cycle.
  • Distil best practices for achieving growth and help replicate best practices on a worldwide basis. · Drive teams KPI and achieve of self and team members.
  • Accountable for full compliance to customer specification during Post-Order Engineering deliverables.
  • Responsible for Clean order Intake to post order engineering team for seamless execution of Post Order Engineering deliverables.
  • On Time Submission of Technical Deliverables and Quality Metrices
  • Preparing and maintain the daily dashboard, weekly and monthly reports as required to achieve the desired results.
  • Ensure that the company policies and followed and values practiced.
  • To Lead Continuous Improvements Projects, Automation & Process Standardization.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon company needs.
  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.
  • Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals
  • Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements.


The Individual

Skills & Experience:


  • A Bachler or master’s degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical or Instrumentation) with 8 + years’ experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions. Preferably 2 years of Supervisor / team leader experience/Job Planning & Checking .
  • Domain knowledge in process equipment and seal systems in Polymer, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Aerospace, Refinery and Turbomachinery areas.
  • Strong working knowledge of how the mechanical seal business and markets work, and how to create growth through engineering processes and products.
  • Good understanding of engineering process needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate strategies and drive a coordinated action plan.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
  • Affinity with mechanical seal systems as essential technology in process industry .An ability to work in an international environment with functional teams spread over various regions including corresponding willingness to travel.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to achieve results with limited direct supervision.
  • Excellent people skills and proven ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a proficiency in MS Office
  • On-time engineering deliverables with zero defect.
  • This role is to support post order engineering execution - EMEAA
  • Strong hands-on skills with P&ID, 3D Assembly / 3D Part modelling / 2D Draft environments, preferably in Solid edge.
  • Strong application and detailed engineering knowledge of mechanical seal support systems (API –Piping Plans) or similar fluid control systems products (like Lube oil Consoles or Oil Lubricating Systems or Pre-jacking systems, High Pressure-Low pressure systems or Filtration units etc,) for applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Steel industries.
  • Good knowledge in interpretation and compliance of project specification from OEM, EPC and End user will be added advantage.
  • Hands on experience in selection and release of purchase specifications (Datasheets) of field measurement instruments like Pressure, Level & Temperature gauges, transmitter etc.
  • Working knowledge with API 682, API 610, API 614, ASTM/ASME piping, and pressure vessels standards are preferable.
  • Supervisory or Co-ordination experience with fabricators of Lube oil systems or Filtration or other similar low- and high-pressure Equipment would be an added advantage.
  • Should be committed to very high levels of customer service and collaborate with various inter departments.
  • Hands on Skills with automation will be an added advantage.
