AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers and partners including public sector.
AWS is looking for Solutions Architect to work with our most strategic data and analytics software partners. This is a hands-on, highly technical position is for someone who can dive deep, build complex, AWS-optimized architectures, and develop a long-term strategy with AWS business development and service teams.
This involves engaging with consulting and technology partners and their customers to integrate AWS Data Analytics services into their solutions and practices. In this hands-on technical specialist role, you will help our partners build complex data analytics architectures.
You will own the technical engagement with partners and their ultimate success. In this role, you will be highly collaborative working across a broad set of teams and managing stakeholders. You will act as voice of partners internally with AWS services and Global Center Of Excellence teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Engage up to C-level business and technical executives of AWS partners and demonstrate AWS value proposition.
- Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure Data Analytics solutions are designed for successful deployment on AWS cloud.
- Dive deep with partners to build technical capabilities through 1:1 and 1-to-many training sessions, as per partner's needs.
- Be the thought leader on AWS Data Analytics services
- Author and contribute to AWS publications such as whitepapers, blogs.
- Build repeatable mechanisms, architectures, solutions, and playbooks.

About the team
This role will be a part of AWS Partner facing Specialist Solutions Architect with expert level domain knowledge to lead 'expert to expert' level discussions by themselves.
- 10 or more years of related experience Technology Breadth: Experience with the AWS cloud, demonstrate architectural best practices applied across a breadth of technologies to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development
- Technology Depth: Demonstrate detailed knowledge of concepts, implementation, patterns, and issues of at least four technology areas like Data Analytics, ML and Generative AI, Databases, Networking, Security and design, IoT.
- Experience in writing technical content and strong communication skills, along with experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Bachelor level degree - computer science or IT background preferred
- Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking in business, product, and technical challenges, with experience in large-scale data center transformations and application migrations.
- Cloud/AWS experience with certifications and recognized IT industry thought leadership in executive-level presentations.
