Job Description:
A Senior Software Engineer’s role is to design, develop and maintain our software application. They use their creativity and technical skills to help solve new and ongoing problems for an organization. They partner with our product teams to deliver on our roadmap, maintain current platform, and create new solutions for our customers. As a senior role, they are also expected to help drive team collaboration and be a mentor for more junior team members.

What you’ll do:
Lead the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including implementation, testing, and deployment while working on software teams (pairs, mobs) to collaboratively develop, deploy and maintain software platform projects.
Partner with Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers to optimize your team's development processes. Helps increase team and individual productivity, reduce errors and defects, and reduce complexity and operational load.
Create safety mechanisms for your team which ensure the team's code is of high quality, easy to maintain, flexible for future expansion, and adheres to best practices and coding standards.
Create friction free development experiences for your team. You focus on opportunities to reduce the time required to setup and configure development environments and tighten feedback loops by streamlining build, test, and deployment workflows.
Partner with product teams in product maintenance by resolving bugs, implementing updates to dependencies, and other various improvements as needed to ensure that our product continues to function as expected.
Partner with the team in creating and maintaining team documentation including user manuals and other related materials that describe the software architecture and functionality that your team supports.
Experience you’ll bring:
Experience in eCommerce, Retail domain.
Experience with developing micro-services based system.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
9+ Years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on system design and architecture.
Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, ReactJS.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Extensive experience designing and developing APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integrating with third-party APIs.
In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and experience in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices based systems.
Familiarity with database technologies, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Experience working collaboratively with Agile or Kanban development teams.
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.
