Job Description

Job Description:Synechron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Quality Engineer with expertise in card & payment systems, including issuing, ISO8583, clearing and authorization, and dispute and chargeback processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in API testing, simulators, and Selenium automation. This role involves ensuring the highest quality of software deliverables through comprehensive testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.


Software Requirements:


  • Expertise in card & payment systems, including issuing, ISO8583, clearing and authorization, dispute and chargeback.
  • Proficiency in API testing and simulators.
  • Strong experience with Selenium automation.

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, and API testing for card & payment systems.
  • Utilize Selenium for automation testing.
  • Identify, track, and resolve software defects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in quality engineering and testing methodologies.

Technical Skills (Category-wise):


  • Primary Skills:
    • Card & Payment systems knowledge (issuing, ISO8583, clearing and authorization, dispute and chargeback).
    • API testing and simulators.
    • Selenium automation.
  • Secondary Skills:
    • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
    • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
    • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or similar.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 14 to17 years of experience in quality engineering and software testing.
  • Proven experience in testing card & payment systems.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing, simulators, and Selenium automation.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for card & payment systems.
  • Perform functional, regression, and API testing.
  • Utilize Selenium for automation testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Identify, track, and resolve software defects.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated with advancements in quality engineering and testing methodologies.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in quality engineering and software testing (preferred).

Soft Skills:


  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
