Role Description:


The Sr. Engineer SQA is a critical role in the Digital technology team of Carrier. This role predominantly works on both manual and automation testing by writing various test scripts.


Primary Responsibilities: 


  • Execute programs and automated scripts for testing purposes
  • Develop automation scripts to align with acceptance criteria
  • Functional test new products and regression test existing products during each QA release cycle
  • Assist with the testing, documenting, defect tracking and information flow during each QA cycle
  • Assist with development of new automation tools and maintaining existing automation tools
  • Gain proficient knowledge of system functionality
  • Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement to help streamline the development life cycle
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and discuss about the defects with details with the development team

Qualification and Experience:


  • At least 3-6 years of professional experience in software domain
  • At least 1 years of Java programming experience
  • Solid knowledge of testing tools for functional, load and security testing
  • Should have good working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and other tools
  • Well versed with Agile/Scrum
  • B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/IT or related field.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling, especially CircleCI
