About the department
Procurement GBS is the offshoring unit of Global Procurement and is part of Finance GBS Bangalore. The Purchasing Operations - HQ team within Procurement GBS is responsible for indirect spend, delivering and supporting order management, invoice resolution activities, query management, tactical sourcing, P2P system support, and PO audit controls. The team operates in a dynamic and collaborative environment, ensuring high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction.



The position
As a Team Lead at Novo Nordisk, you will:


  • Manage overall operational performance in Procurement operations support for Investment Engineering Sourcing and R&D units.
  • Ensure Sarbox (SOX) compliance for Finance GBS, including identifying improvements to internal controls and processes.
  • Support management decisions with a focus on overall process improvements and organisational development.
  • Lead the department to deliver high-quality services on time, ensuring motivated and satisfied employees and stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality daily, monthly, month-end, and year-end tasks. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactively recognise problems, identify options, and implement solutions. Develop, implement, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Maintain an awareness of business, operational activities, and processes within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Maintain strong technical accounting, systems, and process skills. Create adequate backups for existing processes to reduce people dependency.

Qualifications
We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you can nod your head at the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for:


  • Masters within Business or Finance. Good academic track record and grades.
  • LEAN / Six Sigma experience. Good IT skills.
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience, working within Finance Offshoring centres
  • Strong accounting & analytical skills. Project management skills, including change management skills.
  • Strong proven people and performance management skills. Can operate on strategic, tactic and operational level
  • Experience with service culture and delivery, process standardisation and optimisation.
  • Ability to navigate and build relations in large organizations. Team player with problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Highly self-motivated to work independently, within delegated authority, with minimal or no supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and understand how assigned responsibilities impact other processes and the work of other people.
  • Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills.
