Sr. Program Manager - DSP Pricing
Here at Amazon we're seeking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead our pricing initiatives for the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program in India. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize profitability for both the company and our DSP partners while ensuring competitiveness in the last-mile delivery market.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage pricing strategies for the DSP program across different regions in India, optimizing for both the Amazon and DSP partners,
- Conduct regular market analysis to understand competitive positioning, industry trends, and cost factors specific to the Indian last-mile delivery market,
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and DSP management teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives and partner success,
- Analyze delivery data, DSP feedback, and market trends to identify pricing opportunities and risks in the Indian context,
- Design and implement dynamic pricing models that account for factors such as distance, package volume, urban vs. rural deliveries, and peak periods (e.g., holiday seasons),
- Lead the development of pricing tools and systems to support efficient and effective pricing decisions for the DSP program,
- Monitor and analyze the impact of pricing changes on delivery volumes, revenue, and profitability for both the company and DSP partners,
- Develop and maintain pricing policies and guidelines specific to the Indian DSP program, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market conditions,
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on DSP pricing performance and recommendations,
- Manage special pricing requests and exceptions, ensuring they align with overall strategy and goals while considering the unique needs of the Indian market,
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and innovations in last-mile delivery pricing methodologies.
Key job responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations
- Previous program or project management experience in pricing, revenue management, or related field, preferably in logistics or e-commerce,
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights,
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) and experience with pricing software,
- Understanding of economic principles, market dynamics, and financial concepts specific to the Indian market,
- Excellent communication and presentation skills,
- Experience with statistical modelling and forecasting techniques.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field;
- 7+ years of program management/product management/marketing management experience
- Post-graduate degree in a business-related field in a Tier I college/university
- Superior analytical skills, demonstrated ability to acquire/interpret data and make business recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, should be able to present to and align leaders/stakeholders.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
