Amazon Capacity Planning team is looking for a talented, innovative, hands-on and customer-obsessed Program Manager for INFC Capacity planning charter. Candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once. Ideal candidate must exhibit strong analytical skills and have proficiency in following tools: SQL and Advanced Excel. This job requires the candidate to constantly hit the ground running and ability to learn quickly.
In terms of Amazon Program Manager Role Guideline, the incumbent should display the following for this role:
1. Manage complex initiatives, deliver critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating processes that are no longer needed. These efforts require work with multiple teams in and/or across organizations.
2. Accountable for the overall strategy of a large program and successfully manage all stages (from concept to delivery). Your program meets challenging business goals financial or other metrics.
3. Understanding the interdependencies of the business problems you help solve (e.g., aligned workflows, customer requirements, process limitations, legal or compliance requirements, program support, etc.) and influence team priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
4. Communicates ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs. Partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
5. Define clear goals and objectives and drive crisp decisions in the program about what projects move forward and in what priority order. Proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks
6. Judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures. Increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams by applying project management best practices
Key job responsibilities
-Define, design, launch and manage fulfillment & transportation related programs in India.
-Gather requirements and conceptualize a network capacity solution and new supply chain model to solve a business problem.
-Make optimal trade-offs between schedule, resources, and scope, and applies advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks, challenges, and obstacles.
-Work with key stake holders across various functions to define and launch a program.
-Program-manage technical integration with amazon systems across retail, merchant, fulfillment operations, transportation operations and finance technologies and setup end-to-end operational, accounting, financial, taxation requirements, performance measurement and customer satisfaction related processes.
-Launch and expand the program as per Amazon’s requirements while being responsible for all customer and merchant satisfaction, performance, compliance, accounting and financial related metrics.
This role calls for an individual who can own all aspects of how network capacity impacts customer experience, shipper experience and operator experience; manage performance and measure, determine, then drive, any initiatives necessary to improve it. It requires an individual to showcase judgment and decision making skills to balance customer experience with financial impact. This position offers a broad exposure to various business, financial, and technical teams within Amazon.
He / She will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency, and a proven ability to lead large cross-functional projects including communication across all levels and teams in the organization: senior leaders, technical teams, finance, fulfillment, and business leaders.
Basic Qualifications
-Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or similar field from an accredited university
-5 years’ relevant work experience in a top tier company driving programs or projects
-Analytical and be able to justify decisions and approaches with data
-Project management experience-how to organize, find solutions and follow through to a successful conclusion
-Strong business acumen (understands how to calculate high-level ROI and partner with finance to complete a cost-benefit analysis)
-Able to deal with varied stakeholders and earn their trust.
-Highly proficient in written and oral communications; able to produce concise, relevant, strategically-driven documents and presentations.
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 5+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
- 5+ years of data analysis experience
