Work closely with project managers, engineering project teams, and other stakeholders to produce and maintain high-quality documentation for Fortinet’s Secure Networks’ products.
Collaborate with other stakeholders such as product management, sales and support, and marketing teams to produce and share content for different types of deliverables (solution briefs, cookbooks, integration documents, blogs, product documentation, knowledge base, videos).
Perform style and structure reviews to ensure adherence to standards.
Understand the software development lifecycle and contribute to finding ways to improve the development & deployment cycles of documentation.
Research all aspects of our diverse technical products and services and understand the most critical aspects to write about to pique consumers interest and compel them to act.
Show your intellectual curiosity and your incessant creativity by writing a variety of on-brand materials for our tech products and services that inspire everyone who reads your work.
Migration of content between tools and mastering the use of our internal documentation toolchain, including the publishing platform and issue tracking tools.
What is required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
15+ years of experience as a technical writer.
Excellent grammar and punctuation skills, strong ability to craft headlines, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to brand guides, while maintaining a big picture.
Ability to translate complicated concepts into content that is easy-to-understand to audiences with mixed levels of expertise.
Ability to obtain information through research, interviews, and experimentation.
Experience in owning and building an end-to-end documentation process.
Ability to work with geographically distributed stakeholders.
Knowledge of HTML, markdown, XML, CSS, XML based authoring tools & video creation tools
Experience working in Scrum/Agile development environments.
A self-starter and have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Applies standards to the work of others to give information products a uniform voice.
Able to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, technologies, changing requirements, and tight deadlines.
Strong technical aptitude to grasp complex technologies.
