As a Senior Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within 55ip you will lead Software Solution Architecture function for its technology-enabled investment platform for large investment advisory (RIA) & wealth management firms. You will lead the design of a scalable, robust, and secure architecture that delivers on the business goals. You will be responsible designing large-scale application systems whilst partnering with internal and external stakeholders, critical thinking, creative problem solving, clear communication, and collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to lead the team in designing scalable, flexible, and secure software solutions.
- Act as a technology advocate and mentor within the development team, guiding decisions on architecture, design patterns, and frameworks.
- Oversee integration efforts for various systems (internal & external) and applications, ensuring seamless interoperability and optimized performance.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs.
- Ensure that all solutions adhere to architectural best practices and standards, including performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Create and govern detailed architectural documentation and technical standards to guide the development process and future-proof the solution.
- Develop and advocate the use of best-in-class coding standards, practices, and design principles.
- Stay current with industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and identify potential upgrades or optimizations to enhance current architecture.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Formal training or certification on relevant job skill concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization
- Expertise in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages such as Java & Python.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns
- Experience with cloud platforms especially AWS.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines .
- Proficiency in database management .
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect is preferred.
- Domain experience in Wealth Management, Investment Management and Trading systems is strongly preferred
- Python is preferred
