The RoleThis position will be responsible to take care of technical aspects of Energy Management System(EMS) & Generation Management System(GMS) products in projects delivered using AspenTech - DGMs monarch platform for customers across different geographies. You are expected to possess knowledge of power systems analysis, electric utility operations, control, and optimization.
Your Impact- Work directly with customers to define requirements for advanced control systems.
- Understand project requirements through interactions with project engineering and other stakeholders, and design solutions to meet these requirements.
- Carry out power system modelling, Analysis, and electrical design aspects of projects from the feasibility stage through implementation and operations.
- Design and develop custom applications to meet project requirements.
- Design the theoretical algorithms and their software implementation.
- Create test plans and procedures and perform testing for product releases including unit (module by module) and algorithm proof testing.
- Provide applications programming support for other Engineering departments.
- Provide training and support for end users.
What You'll Need
- Graduate in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics engineering / Post-graduate in Power Systems or related discipline is desirable.
- Min 5 years of work experience in Power System Analysis and Energy Management Systems.
- Understanding of use-cases for electric utilities is good to have.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts with development using C# or Python along with basic – intermediate understanding of SQL is good to have.
- Basic knowledge of databases and data warehousing.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on several projects in parallel.
- Ability and flexibility to travel based on project need.
