    About the role


    The candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading Embedded software teams within Carrier Transicold business. The candidate shall work in collaboration with the global business leads within Carrier Transicold Engineering software organization in setting-up and ensuring compliance with global software processes and tools for design robustness, development, validation, manufacturing uniformity and field reliability


    Key Responsibilities:


  • Delivery leadership experience in Embedded Software development, Automation, Telematics, Connectivity solutions
  • Strong knowledge on design and development of embedded systems using RTOS and Linux
  • Development of new products to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
  • Managing a team with a diverse array of strong talents and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including delivery, quality, safety and productivity
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project risks, issues and decisions on services.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Tailor existing or create new standard work processes to improve project effectiveness.
  • Identify critical skill gaps impacting the performance of standard work processes.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, enterprise architecture, product management
    and design, product delivery/infrastructure, product operations/ devops and customer
    support to improve overall quality, emphasizing defect prevention throughout the
    development and maintenance lifecycle; Partner with internal business stakeholders to
    assist with improving throughput and quality of all deliverables.
  • Define local best practices based on business unit capabilities, needs and products.
  • Proficiently work with development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile etc. and related project management tools such as Rational Suite, Rally, JIRA etc.
  • Requirements


    15+ years growing experience as a leader in the embedded software development and software process improvement disciplines; 6+ years in a leadership capacity.


    BE/B Tech/MS/M Tech degree in CSE/ECE streams
