We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain leader to build and manage a high performing team executing a variety of Supply Chain capabilities in Bengaluru, India. The initial scope will include Planning, Supply Chain Process Excellence, Supply Chain Project Management, and Supplier Quality. The scope of this role is likely to expand as we continue to build out our Global Capability Center.


The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain will be a critical member of the Global Capability Center leadership team and will be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and managing a team of professionals in several areas of Supply Chain, as well as working collaboratively with cross-functional teams globally to deliver high-quality products, solutions, continuous improvements, and drive employee engagement. This role will report to the AD, Supply Chain in Bengaluru but will have significant interaction with other Illumina Sites.


Responsibilities:


  • Leadership: Build and manage high-performing Supply Chain teams and individual contributors in Bengaluru, India.  Direct activities of people managers and individual contributors across several Supply Chain disciplines. Coach and mentor teams to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and building leadership bench strength. Reflect fairness and openness in decision making.
  • Supply Chain Excellence:  Driving supply for internal and commercial requirements through proper determination & management of forecasts, bills of materials, part setup, development and execution of the build and distribution plans. Identification, prioritization, and execution of business process initiatives to improve service, cost & cash.
  • Governance:  Establish operating mechanisms to meet global SLA’s including turnaround time & quality.  Drive effective utilization of time-offset from other Illumina Sites.  Promote a positive community and workplace culture by upholding departmental and site-specific expectations regarding workstyles.

What We’re Looking For:


  • Requires Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience in directly managing and supervising various levels of people leaders and individual contributors.
  • 10+ years of knowledge and experience within Supply Chain including Planning and Continuous Improvement or Project Management
  • Hands-on experience with one or more ERP systems.  SAP experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including peer business leaders, employees, and customers
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, making effective decisions even when under pressure.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.

Nice To Have:


  • Clinical and/or IVD development experience desirable
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification and hands-on experience
  • Proficient in the use analytics tools desirable
  • Experience in project management
  • Supply Chain professional certification--APICS or CIPS
