As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk
- Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Responsible for infrastructure engineering in accordance with business requirements
- Executes work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives
- Considers upstream/downstream system or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
- Is accountable and serve as a member of the Network Engineering team, responsible for leading and engaging in the architecture, evaluation, and standardization of emerging network communication technologies, products, and solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering team members and business units to define the current state and future direction of the technological landscape.
- Partner with business, product, and architecture teams to define next-gen SDWAN network requirements and capabilities.
- Develop and implement project plans within budgetary, schedule, and resource constraints.
- Capture, analyze, decompose, and create requirements for systems, products, and subsystems of moderate to high complexity.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines and over 5 years of proven hands-on experience in SDWAN network engineering
- Knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Deep technical knowledge across multiple domains
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Experienced network analyst with expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting complex global network environments.
- Hands-on experience in product design, including creating functional architecture, detailed HDL, LLD, test plans, and execution.
- Apply security/cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design for secure services.
- Advanced knowledge in SD-WAN, networking and routing, network automation, and network virtualization.
- Apply network management concepts to maintain highly available and reliable network services
- Familiarity with network automation.
- Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to managing budgets
- SDWAN certification from recognized organizations is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and proven relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to articulate technical design and architecture clearly to stakeholders.
