Job Description

Job Summary:Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Java Developer with extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, web services, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, including knowledge of build tools, continuous integration, code quality analysis, and performance tuning. This role involves leading a team of developers, converting requirements into technical designs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.


Software Requirements:


  • Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, web services, and Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of OOPS concepts, multithreading, file handling, and data structures.
  • Knowledge of build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle), continuous integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy), code quality analysis (SonarQube), and unit/integration testing (JUnit).
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting with strong SQL knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of SOA concepts, RESTful APIs, and SOAP.
  • Knowledge in PL/SQL (blocks, functions, and procedures).
  • Experience with job schedulers like Autosys or cron jobs.

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and implementation of scalable, high-performance Java applications.
  • Design and develop microservices, RESTful APIs, and web services.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
  • Convert requirements into technical designs and code.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Technical Skills (Category-wise):


  • Primary Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, web services, and Kafka.
    • Solid understanding of OOPS concepts, multithreading, file handling, and data structures.
    • Knowledge of build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle) and continuous integration (Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy).
    • Expertise in code quality analysis (SonarQube) and unit/integration testing (JUnit).
    • Proficient in performance tuning and troubleshooting with strong SQL knowledge.
    • Understanding of SOA concepts, RESTful APIs, and SOAP.
  • Secondary Skills:
    • Knowledge of job schedulers like Autosys or cron jobs.

    • Demonstrates strong analysis and design skills, including OO design patterns and microservice design patterns.

Experience:


  • At least 7+ years of experience in Java development.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams of developers.
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Lead and mentor a team of developers.
  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance.
  • Convert requirements into technical designs and code.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java and related technologies.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Java development are a plus.
