Sr IT Operations Manager

What success looks like in this role:

We are seeking a seasoned IT Operations Manager with over 13 years of experience in managing complex IT infrastructures and application deployment architectures. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in infrastructure management, operations, MQ Series, Unisys mainframes, Unisys OS2200, and a strong background in designing and deploying scalable applications. This role requires leadership skills to manage a team, strategic vision to align IT initiatives with business goals, and technical proficiency to oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT systems.

• Manage and lead the IT operations team in day-to-day activities and long-term strategic planning.

  
  

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure to support business operations and growth.

  
  

• Develop and execute IT strategies to enhance system reliability, security, and performance.

  
  

• Oversee application deployment architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

  
  

• Lead initiatives to optimize IT processes and improve operational efficiency.

  
  

• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT products and services.

  
  

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to IT operations.

  
  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and systems.

  
  

• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans and conduct regular testing.

  
  

• Prepare and manage IT budgets, forecasting expenditures and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  
  

• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  
  

• 13+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

  
  

• Extensive knowledge of infrastructure management, operations, and application deployment architectures.

  
  

• Hands-on experience with MQ Series, Unisys mainframes, and Unisys OS2200.

  
  

• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects and initiatives.

  
  

• Strong understanding of cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization technologies.

  
  

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.

  
  

• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
