Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Director for India Government Relations located in Delhi, India.


The Senior Director for India GR will act as part of Flex’s senior executive team for India, leading Flex’s approach on government policy and strategy issues in the country. The position will report into Flex’s Global VP for GR.


What a typical day looks like:


  • Developing strategies to advance Flex’s interests with government officials at the India national, state and local level.
  • Coordinating Flex efforts to improve regulatory and policy conditions for Flex in India, working closely with the global GR lead, India leadership team, and business and operational leaders across Flex.
  • Managing Flex participation in PLI and other incentive schemes
  • Developing public policy positions and working closely with the stakeholders and leadership team.
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with policy makers and effectively using trade associations and other groups to further business objectives.
  • Representing Flex before government representatives.
  • Responsible for the development and execution of India government relations strategy to support Flex business objectives.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • 15+ years of government relations, corporate communications, or related experience, including significant executive or leadership experience
  • Thorough understanding of Indian governments at national and local levels, including relationships with key government officials and entities
  • Proven ability to communicate with and influence internal teams, senior executives, senior government officials & Flex customers
  • Strategic planning, analytical acumen, project management skills required

Principle Accountabilities:


  • Maintain subject matter expertise and effective relationships with Indian federal and state government structure, personnel, policies, functions, and politics
  • Establish strategic and tactical plans and objectives for Flex government relations in India
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including Flex business and operations leaders, executives, customers, suppliers, business partners, peer companies, industry associations, political organizations, government agencies, government officials, politicians, and others to deliver Flex GR strategy and objectives in India
  • Manage Flex relationships with Indian government officials and trade associations
  • Administer staffing and budgeting to support GR needs in India
  • Interface directly with all levels of management to identify, prioritize and execute Flex GR objectives
  • Provide executive presence as part of India senior leadership team in delivering Flex GR objectives
  • Deliver GR metrics and analytics to support accountability within Flex for GR in India
  • Deliver political risk assessments for Flex in India
