Job Description

The role of Business reporting and project management expert (C11) for India AIM – Analytics and Information Management team is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a career within Citigroup and specifically within workforce planning, project management and finance reporting function. This includes monthly management reporting, Budgeting, Outlook & Forecasting, automation of existing reports and preparation of various reports on excel and or tools like tableau. The purpose of the role will be to execute key responsibilities (as described below) supporting AIM – Analytics and Information Management.


The Sr. Business Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include contribution to external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Sr. Business Analyst may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.
Responsibilities:


  • Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for the approval or disapproval of funds requests
  • Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
  • Review budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with procedures and regulations
  • Monitor the preparation of regular and special budget reports
  • Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis and fiscal allocation
  • Analyze budgetary/accounting data and provide financial recommendations
  • Gather and verify accuracy of financial records
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparence.
  • Executive Reporting activities:
  • Support various teams with key Management reporting as appropriate.
  • Working as part of a diverse team spread across the region, Interaction with a wide range of people and exposure to Regional /Global Finance Owners/ stakeholders.
  • Maintain headcount and expense related exception approvals and processes
  • Reviewing financials daily during the month-end period and reporting issues to finance management, comparing Actual to plan/ forecast/ prior period to ensure correct month-end close & investigating unusual postings and/ or escalating with same to the appropriate team.
  • Performance Measurement and Related Analytics:
  • Preparation of monthly financial metrics and key business drivers specific to different business lines.
  • Monthly management reporting, updating reporting decks & management reviews with headcount and finance metrics as required.

Qualifications:


  • MBA Finance/ CA inter
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of business analysis experience required
  • Proficient in slide making for executive presentation
  • Knowledge & Experience with working on SharePoint
  • Good financial analysis and management reporting background having 4-6 years prior work experience.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint & Excel).
  • Experience of working with financial data.
  • Experience with tableau will be an added advantage
  • Experience creating documentation within standard development methodology
