Important DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Provide outstanding support for SAP and other ERP systems, ensuring flawless reporting capabilities and integrating Power BI reporting tools.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for both functional and non-functional processes and procedures.
  • Lead and optimize manufacturing processes and the Supply Chain, incorporating industry standards like Industry 4.0 and Lean Six-Sigma.
  • Support the Service Desk function to resolve user-related assistance calls efficiently.
  • Prepare and implement test plans for new functionality, and communicate deployment updates effectively.
  • Translate user requirements into detailed program specifications, collaborating closely with programmers to ensure compliance.
  • Develop detailed training outlines and provide training to end-users.
  • Apply project management expertise to support business initiatives successfully.
  • Maintain strict security compliance with Thermo Fisher's IT Policies and Guidelines.
  • Gather and critically evaluate user requirements, developing solutions and alternatives that meet business needs.
  • Communicate and collaborate to analyze information needs and functional requirements, working with developers to balance usability and performance.
  • Serve as the liaison between user communities and development teams, ensuring a smooth flow of requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven expertise in processes and standard methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Materials Management and Production Planning, with S/4 experience. Experience with other ERPs is advantageous.
  • 3-7 years of business experience in Materials Management / Production Planning and 2-4 years SAP experience.
  • Technical certificates and 4+ years of related technical work experience are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and documentation skills are critical.
  • Ability to independently assume and complete assignments.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, with the ability to interpret and translate customer business needs.
  • Solid project management skills and understanding of the project management lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Language skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to speak confidently before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to detail tasks and complete Helpdesk requests with clarity for both technical and non-technical staff.
