What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for designing and implementing information system architectures to support business needs. You will analyze requirements, develop architectural designs, evaluate technology solutions, and ensure alignment with industry best practices and standards. Your expertise in system architecture, strong problem-solving abilities, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts will enable you to deliver robust and scalable IT solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Be the owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Active Directory (on-premises and Azure), PKI, Oracle LDAP and various related systems and work as the liaison between the business and the technical staff to provide a translation of business requirements/issues to technical requirements/issues and vice-a-versa.
Define a service strategy, roadmap, and execution plan to deliver high impact business value and partner with the other Identity teams to engineers to implement solutions for cloud, mobile and on-premise applications.
Conduct, lead, or provision technology and service reviews to baseline and set service improvement goals and initiatives
Provide support and consultation to clients or project teams to identify requirements and assist with application configurations and deployments using Amgen’s directories
Monitor operational and performance statistics for managed systems to ensure reliability and availability and work with the operations team to maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, etc. Oversee production change control schedule and participates in change control processes
Resolve issues called out from Amgen’s operational support vendor and provide expert level solve for issues that bridge subject areas and technologies beyond team capabilities
Create and maintain user documentation such as SOPs, design documents, operational drawings, manuals, etc.
This position may have after hours responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience or related field OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience or related field OR
Associate’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience or related field OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems experience
Must-Have Skills:
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to identify and remediate issues
Sharp learning agility, problem-solving and analytical thinking
Scripting skills such as PowerShell or Python
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong Microsoft Active Directory skills including AD and Azure AD and LDAP Directory Services
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
Strong knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)
Good working knowledge of DNS and WINS
Experience with mobile device authentication and management
Experience with managing regulated systems - FDA/SOX
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with IS Security
Experience with Agile Project Methodology
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their IAM services.
Knowledge of IGA principles, including role-based access control (RBAC)
Knowledge of incident response procedures and the ability to manage security incidents related to identity management
Professional Certifications:
Microsoft, GCP or AWS Cloud (preferred)
Security Certification (preferred)
Microsoft Azure Certification (preferred)
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and solve skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully

Work Hours:
This position operates on the second shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST. Candidates must be willing and able to work during these hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
