SQL & ETL Developer

Software Requirements:

• Strong expertise in SQL for querying and manipulating databases.
• Proficiency in ETL tools, specifically SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Informatica.
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.

• Data Extraction & Transformation:Design and implement ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into the desired format, and load it into target systems.

  
  

• Database Management:Manage and optimize SQL databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity.

  
  

• Data Quality Assurance:Monitor and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data throughout the ETL process.

  
  

• Collaboration:Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

  
  

• Documentation:Prepare and maintain clear documentation of ETL processes, data mappings, and operational procedures.

  
  

• Troubleshooting:Identify, diagnose, and resolve data-related issues, making adjustments to ETL processes as necessary.

  
  

• SQL Skills: Advanced SQL skills, including data modeling and database design.

  
  

• ETL Tools: Proficiency in ETL development using SSIS or Informatica.

  
  

• Database Management: Experience with SQL Server or Oracle database management systems.

  
  

• Data Warehousing: Understanding of dimensional modeling and ETL best practices.

  
  

• Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell is a plus.

  
  

• Developing ETL workflows and processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Conducting performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and ETL jobs.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide data solutions.
• Monitoring and maintaining ETL jobs, ensuring they run smoothly and on schedule.
• Documenting procedures and best practices for data management and ETL processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SQL development and ETL solutions.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data quality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.
