Specialist Product Expert
Pune
Role Purpose:
The primary focus of a Pricing Specialist - Product Expert is to identify problems, recommend solutions, document requirements, and communicate the requirements and direction of new and existing products for airlines that meet the market demand and customer expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Knowledge of ATPCO Automated Rules processing is required.
  • Working with airlines directly, provide innovative solutions for shopping, pricing, reissues, and refunds using ATPCO fares and rules.
  • With focus on shopping, pricing, reissues, and refunds, work with cross-functional teams to manage projects through concept, development, and implementation.
  • During concept phase, create a project requirements document that defines all the requirements.
  • During development phase, work closely with developers and project managers to ensure that the customer requirements are being met.
  • During implementation and launch, work with other internal departments to ensure all elements of the launch come together to support quick adoption by new and existing customers.
  • Create, review and update functional requirements documents and high level workflow technical design documentation for implementation of systems and applications projects.
  • Support implementation and launch to market including managing pilots and beta tests

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years’ experience in the travel industry (preferably with an airline reservation system, GDS, or travel agency.
  • Explicit ATPCO Automated Rules processing including automated reissues (Cat 31) and refunds (Cat 33)
  • Strong overall knowledge of ATPCO fares, pricing, and data application
  • Strong business requirements gathering and documentation capabilities
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of IATA Fare Construction a plus and experience in gathering functional requirements and writing functional requirement documents
