Role Purpose: 


  • The Vendor Management Relationship Officer is responsible to:

Provide support to the Vendor Performance Team on all day-to-day operational vendor management activities.


Designation: Specialist


Base Location: Navi Mumbai


Reporting to: Deputy General Manager


Key Role Responsibilities:


  • Managing all vendor registration requests related to procurement activities on the relevant eSourcing Portals.
  • Conducting all vendor pre-qualification assessments on the relevant eSourcing Portals, and in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures.
  • Providing pro-active tender related support to ensure all vendors access online tenders in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with the technical helpdesk to ensure all vendor technical-related queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Conducting frequent vendor database cleansing activities on the relevant eSourcing Portals.
  • Supporting all Procurement Departments across the Group with any specific operational vendor management activities.
  • Ensuring daily/weekly progress reports are maintained of all vendor management activities and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting market research activities to identify new vendors to enrich the approved pre-qualified list of global vendors.
  • Identifying, presenting, and implementing opportunities for process improvements that enhance the overall efficiencies of vendor management activities.
  • Ensure all vendor management activities are completed in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.

Skills & Competencies: 


  • 2-3 years successful experience and track record of consistent achievement in a Procurement Department (or equivalent) Vendor Management role (preference given to prior procurement exposure) within a large and complex multinational organization.
  • A demonstrable track record of best practice vendor management in a service orientated environment.
  • A strong organizational background and interaction with vendor management related activities.
  • Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain within the context of vendor management activities.
  • Strong experience in either implementing or working with eSourcing applications.
  • Experience in reporting and data analytics.

Education & Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s in business administration or equivalent
  • Working towards or CIPS qualified (is advantageous)
