We are looking for a Specialist Engineer - Telecommunications – Railway Infrastructure meeting the need for smart-mobility solutions.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
- Responsible for supporting and/or supervising the telecommunications systems and networks that support railway operations
- You will be required to work on applications that apply telecommunication for rail operations
- You will mentor telecommunication professionals and provide expert advice for technical solutions, collaborate with other departments to optimize communication technologies for safety, efficiency, and reliability within railway operations. You will assign tasks, set goals, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Your role will require experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data transmission across railway networks. This would be for both Vital signalling as well as non-vital communication systems including but not limited to; DCS, CCTV, BBRS, PIDS/PAS, MCS, FOTS, OAIT, TETRA, Telephony, 4G LTE & 5G Radio systems, Wi-fi systems, Network Security and more.
- You will support to Develop and implement strategic plans for localizing telecommunications infrastructure in alignment with railway operational goals and technological advancements within Siemens.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of the work.
- Generate reports on Team performance, projects, and expenditures for management review.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens standards and industry best practices for telecommunications systems within rail operations.
- Support in organizing and managing Engineers and Managers working on projects when they require Engineering support in-terms of work you're doing or enablement.
We don’t need superheroes, just superminds
- Minimum work experience of 15 years in field of Railway and Telecommunication in terms of project execution, including design.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Any advanced certification in related technology or management preferred.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in telecommunications design, implementation, and management, preferably mostly within railway sector. Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications technologies such as VoIP, fiber optics, wireless communication, and network protocols.
- Proficiency in team or project management, budgeting, and vendor management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Preferably with an analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
