Within our commercial Insights, Analytics, and Data organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management.

We are looking for a team member for Digital solutions team who will work within the Human Health Digital Data and Analytics area to contribute to development of our advanced data science application platform.  We are realizing the vision of a cohesive commercial decision support suite, helping stakeholders make data-driven decisions to optimize delivery of our product to patients. The candidate will work with the Integrated Research and Forecasting team to design and implement robust forecasting solutions in python.

Specialist - Data Science role requires programming skills in Python and basic knowledge strategic forecasting.

The preferred candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, understanding of healthcare & technology, a demonstrated record of building forecasting solutions. The candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, an ability to work independently and deal well with ambiguity and strong collaboration skills. The candidate will empower a growth mindset and inspire a culture of continual learning.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for writing Python codes for development of Web-based forecasting model
• Responsible for conceptualizing and delivering features of forecasting model
• Drive continuous enhancements to evolve the existing forecasting capabilities
• Perform quality checks and validate python implementation of the models.
• Build own components in python for our product suite, build from quick prototypes for web-based applications.
• Reassess our products frequently to enhance models, user experience, performance, and stability.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure changes enhance maintainability and performance.
• Collaborate on idea generation, definition, and construction with teams across the company.
• Learn about the newest techniques and technologies and share with others to improve our team culture and ways of working.

Education Minimum Requirements:

Engineering / Management / Pharma post-graduates.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Python programming
• Understanding of Pharma forecasting would be good to have
• Basic knowledge of SQL, AWS, CI/CD, JavaScript would be good to have
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong teamwork ethic, passion for learning and desire to seek new challenges.
• Experience working in an agile structure and reporting to engineering leads.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse groups of work colleagues and positively manage ambiguity.
• Self-motivation, proactivity, and ability to work independently with minimum direction.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to communicate appropriately and confidently with colleagues from different backgrounds and seniority levels.
• Excellent organizational skills, with ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and organize/prioritize work efficiently and effectively.
