Job Description

Freshworks is looking for a smart, driven business analyst to join the marketing operations team and optimize marketing processes and investments through data-driven insights. In this role, you will define measurement frameworks, build scalable processes, and analyze data to enhance marketing efficiency.


As the custodian of every lead entering our systems, you should be proficient in Google Analytics, CRM, and SQL for data analysis. You will be responsible for conducting journey analysis, tracking user behavior, optimizing funnels, and improving conversion rates. Additionally, you will define new initiatives, execute strategic projects, and monitor key performance metrics.


This role requires close collaboration with product, sales, and marketing teams to drive data-backed decision-making. If you are a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a passion for high-growth opportunities, this is the perfect place for you!



Qualifications
  • Graduate degree or equivalent, preferably in Statistics/Operational Research/Mathematics


  • Atleast 4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analytics/Modelling, preferably within an IT product/ e-commerce/ SaaS company


  • Proficiency in Google Analytics with experience in analyzing and interpreting web data to drive insights and optimizations


  • Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, BI reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker) and one coding language (Python, R, Java etc.)


  • Strong understanding of journey analysis, including tracking user interactions and identifying patterns to enhance user experience


  • Expertise in funnel optimization with the ability to analyze drop-offs and improve conversion rates through data-driven strategies


  • Hands-on experience in user behavior tracking, leveraging analytics tools to monitor engagement and identify trends


  • Proficiency in conversion rate analysis, with the ability to assess and optimize marketing and sales funnels for improved performance


  • Advanced analytical skills with experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating abundant information with accuracy


  • Visualization experience is a must - ability to build powerful visuals & dashboards –PowerBI experience preferred


  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills


  • Demonstrated experience in predictive analysis, and expertise in R, SQL, Python


  • Self-starter, independent and comfortable with ambiguity
