What you’ll be doing!
- Collaborate and drive implementation to identify, diagnose, and solve system issues.
- Coordinate service delivery for asset management solutions.
- Plan and complete system implementations and change controls with a focus on user experience.
- Gather and analyze business requirements, developing specifications as needed.
- Help with identifying and resolving blocking issues, critical issues, and customer concerns related to applications and infrastructure.
- Provide oversight and mentorship to junior team members for technical solutions and implementations.
- Perform tasks independently, manage complex problems, and guide others.
- Drive managed datacenter consolidation activities.
- Deploy AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure and other services.
- Lead and manage P1/P2 infrastructure outages and seek assistance from vendors in case of blocking issues or customer concerns.
- Monitor cloud and on-premises infrastructure as services.
- Review open incidents and requests while maintaining SLA objectives.
- Work on IT projects in an AWS, Azure, and on-premises environment and services.
- Conduct routine DevOps maintenance in AWS and Azure environments.
- Ensure patching and system performance improvements.
- Support and ensure overall cost management improvements to existing AWS and Azure systems.
- Deploy new servers and infrastructure for datacenters.
- Provide technical support, performing root cause analysis, and troubleshooting for problem resolution.
- Build and adhere to processes, standard methodologies, SOPs, compliance, and training requirements. This involves applying Baxter's change control and managing tickets on this platform to ensure efficient fault communications and awareness.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Work closely with engineers and testers to identify, document, and prioritize solutions that exemplify continuous improvement.
- Implement reusable, automated solutions to common engineering operations tasks.
- Implement Continuous Integration solutions that produce a variety of packages and binaries.
What you’ll bring!
- 10+ years of hands-on IT experience within infrastructure operations, including experience supporting RHEL, ORACLE, CentOS, UBUNTU Linux, hosted in VMware, AWS, cloud infrastructure, networking, and storage.
- Willingness to work on a distributed team (Proposed Shift Timing: 1 PM to 10 PM, as appropriate in region).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and critical thinking ability.
- Sense of urgency with strong follow-up skills, ability to multi-task, balance multiple priorities, attention to detail, and strong organization skills are crucial.
- Experience in a highly motivated, fast-paced, critical support role.
- Excellent decision-making and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, diligent and coordinate work.
- Self-motivated and a great teammate.
- Ability to search for innovative solutions and find ways to overcome obstacles.
