Job Description

As Spa Trainer, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:


  • Assist and assume responsibility on the efficient operation of the Spa department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.
  • Assist fitness instructors and hosts to ensure that they can perform their services professionally and accurately in a timely manner. 
  • Organize and perform treatments as standards.
  • Make sure treatment rooms have enough supplies at all times as per standards.
  • Request and log stock of supplies necessary for the treatment rooms. 
  • Set up the treatment rooms as per standards.
  • Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to guests at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the Spa and treatment rooms.
  • Maintain the equipment I use in safe conditions.
  • Handle guest complaints and record all guest comments.
  • Log all product recommendations to guests.
  • Fill in documents / controls / reports for duty (stocks, daily logbook if any, lost & found, guest comments).
  • Carry out when required stock count, both retail and professional stock.
  • Monitor usage of products. 
  • Evaluate the operations and procedures and suggest improvements to the Spa Management.
  • Lead and motivate all therapists to a level of service which exceeds all guests’ expectations by facilitating teamwork and ensuring all treatments are performed in a consistent manner and in the time allocated.
  • Provide departmental orientation to newly recruited Hosts.
  • Assist Spa Reception whenever needed. 
  • Take an active part in the leadership of team. 
  • Ensure hosts perform opening and closing according to Six Senses Spas standards. 
  • Check and set up daily operations of the Spa according to Six Senses Spas standards. 
  • Provide all relevant training reports to the spa and home office.
  • Carry out monthly training with Spa Team following the individual training plan for each Host as well as other training needs outlined on the training calendar.
  • Appraise all therapists’ therapy skills in conjunction with Asst. Spa Manager.
  • Regularly update knowledge and skills in massage / beauty therapies.
  • Upsell all fitness, spa and wellness activities.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by supervisors.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
  • Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.
  • Perform fitness classes and personal trainings as per Six Senses Spas standards.
  • Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded. 
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments. 

Qualifications


To execute the position of Spa Trainer, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in physical education preferred and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven certificates. 
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I keep myself updated with the latest trends in fitness and wellness.
  • Fluent in English.
