Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Victor, United States. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality, kitchen efficiency, and team collaboration.
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management
- Prepare meals from standardized recipes, ensuring timely and attractive presentation
- Coordinate food preparation and set up service lines and workstations
- Assist in menu planning, food ordering, and inventory management
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes
- Participate in pre-meal meetings with food servers to review daily menu details
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organize stock rooms, coolers, and freezers
- Implement food waste reduction techniques and proper food storage practices
- Contribute to menu innovation and cost control initiatives
