We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic solution engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a well-rounded understanding of feature, system and scale testing with passing to automation.
As a key member of the SSE quality team, You will help your colleagues to automate and test Cloud Native SASE, SSE and SDWAN solutions. You will experience the entire lifecycle of all features and scalability from their conception, development to operation.

•You will help your colleagues to automate and test Cloud Native SASE, SSE and SDWAN solutions to extend and improve the services and platform we offer. You will experience the entire lifecycle of all features and scalability from their conception, development to operation.
What You'll Do
•Design, build and operate, continuous, reliable, and maintainable systems, with functional, and integration level test automation services.
•Evaluate and predict areas of risk to product functionality, performance, maintainability, and reliability, working with your fellow engineers to find ways to mitigate or craft around the risks
•Will you enjoy learning from your team members and support the learning of other team members?
•Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of our solutions.
•Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address system vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
•Analyse test results, identify issues, and work with the development team to facilitate fixes.
•Improve existing automation processes and architecture.
•Evaluate newer tech stack’s, third-party libraries, and tools by writing proof of concepts, benchmarking, and making recommendations.
•Contribute to the entire cloud software development lifecycle, from concept stage until delivery and post-launch support.
•Fix and resolve complex system-level stability or scalability issues.
•Maintain code integrity and organization, ensuring the highest level of performance for both front-end and back-end code.

Basic Qualifications:
•BA/BS Degree with professional experience in a software engineering role.
• 8+ years of experience in development and testing
•Proven experience in Cloud and Micro Services Architecture.
•A strong passion for data-driven decision-making in everything you do!
•Your communication and presentation skills are exemplary, working in highly collaborative and multi-functional teams.
•Cloud Native experience: Docker Containers, Kubernetes Orchestration, Providers (AWS, GCP),
•Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and in teams.
•TCP/IP networking
•Experience in VPN technology, SSL/DTLS/IKEv2/IPSec
•Broaden your network, and application security knowledge and skills.
•Deliver applications and platforms for load balancing, caching, compression, application firewalling, reverse proxy, SSL termination, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
•Firewalls, SWG, CASB, and network services
•SSE, SASE and SDWAN experience
•Deliver applications and platforms for load balancing, caching, compression, application firewalling, reverse proxy, SSL termination, etc.
•How agile are you? Do you speak Scrum, Kanban, etc? We seek continuous feedback from our customers, and adjust our priorities and focus accordingly, so we change and adapt quickly. We enjoy learning from our failures and celebrating our successes. We retrospect regularly and seek to improve constantly.
•Significant experience developing software with Python or Golang and writing scripts to deploy automated test setups

The members of the Cloud Security Engineering’s Solution Engineering focus on System and scale testing for the Umbrella and Cisco Secure Access platform. We are a team that is supportive of learning and experimentation. We work closely with the rest of the Cloud Security Engineering teams and other engineering groups across Cisco.
